Talent Scouting for Girl Scouts

This is for my readers in the U.S. that have Girl Scouts in their midst who might like to throw their badged sashes in the ring for an upcoming national television commercial!Coffeemate GS

The Girl Scout motto is “Be Prepared.”  So, I ask you… are you prepared for this?!  The sweet folks at Coffee-Mate are rolling out not one, but two new creamers to add to your coffee (and really, I like it in tea, too) rotation.  Truly, sweet dreams (creams?) are made of this: Thin Mints and Caramel & Coconut (to mimic the Girl Scout Samoas/Caramel deLites).  To celebrate, they are offering one lucky Girl Scout the chance to star in their upcoming commercial!

This nationwide casting call, now through mid-August, seeks an authentic Girl Scout between the ages of 8 and 11 (who have been registered on or after 10/1/12 and receive permission from their parents) to star in a television commercial.  To submit audition videos, visit www.GirlScouts.Coffee-mate.com.

The Girl Scout slogan is “Do a good turn daily.”  Well, it is a good thing that Coffee-Mate is going to make me feel a little less guilty about indulging in a Thin Mint or Samoa/Caramel deLites craving on occasion (at only 35 calories a tablespoon).  Oh, and I can probably stop pestering those poor girls before it is officially Girl Scout Cookie Season (February to April).

*** Fun Fact: The first American Girl Scout uniform was based on illustrations of the uniforms worn by Girl Guides in England, but over the years, Famous Fashion Designers like Halston, Bill Blass, Mainbocher and Stella Sloat have created outfits for the Girl Scouts.  These are WELL-DRESSED ladies!
